I'm Qi Luo, an up-and-coming free-thinking interaction designer. If you're interested, you can check out my resume on LinkedIn and my portfolio on my personal website.

My life can be clearly divided into two stages from the age of 17, from China to the US, from having someone to worry about everything to taking care of myself. There were many choices I could have made along the way that I could have done better, but I don't regret them because it's these experiences that have shaped me. And I love that I'm choosing to try to adapt my designs to the needs of other people, so that their world can be a little bit better.

At the same time, it has made me a very survivable person, savagely growing up in two different cultures, Chinese and American. As a designer, this experience has also given me more perspectives, and looking at the same thing from different cultural perspectives can lead to completely different results. On top of that, it is very interesting to look for common ground that can reconcile different cultures.

The most interesting thing about interaction design is that it's not just about aesthetics or usability, it's about designing a logic, a mechanism for dialog, a way of making artificial systems. It's not just about the design of objects, it's about the design of people. This human-related characteristic is unforgettable to me, and inspires my focus, purpose, creativity and curiosity as a designer, thus making me firmly believe that interaction design must be the future direction of design.

Learning interaction design was a fateful choice, but perhaps also a necessity. Anyway, I am now looking for job opportunities, so if you can, please give me a chance to try, thanks!
